Palm kernel fatty acid distillate (PKFAD) is a renewable raw material that is used in many industries and products. It is produced during the refining process of palm kernel oil.
PKFAD is a yellowish semi-solid at room temperature, but melts into a light brown liquid when heated. It is made up of more than 80% free fatty acid (FFA), with palmitic acid and oleic acid as the main components.
